Brian Murphy

Brian Murphy is General Partner of NewSpring Capital, a leading provider of private equity capital managing over $2.0 billion, and a Founding Partner of the Firm’s dedicated healthcare funds. Mr. Murphy serves on the Board of Managers of Mangrove Management Partners.

Mr. Murphy has over 30 years of entrepreneurial, general management, M&A, and private equity experience, with a strong background in business strategy, investment structuring, organizational growth, and M&A negotiation.  Before joining NewSpring in 2002, Brian founded Acquisition Management Services, Inc., a diversified corporate development advisory firm focusing on middle-market companies and Precyse Solutions, a provider of medical transcription and health information services.  Previously, he held executive positions at several healthcare companies, including NovaCare, Inc., Heritage Health Systems, and Partners National Health Plans.

Mr. Murphy received a BS in Science from the State University of New York at Cortland.
